Operation of Keep Nassau Beautiful, Inc.

Keep Nassau Beautiful, Inc. (KNB) was certified by Keep America Beautiful (KAB) on July 31, 1991. KNB was formed by a group of citizens interested in improving Nassau County. The Amelia Island Fernandina Beach Yulee Chamber of Commerce identified a need for KNB at an annual goal setting session and when KNB was certified it replaced the Nassau County, Yulee, and Fernandina Beach Beautification Committees. KNB is a stand-alone, not-for-profit, 501(c)3 corporation incorporated in the state of Florida and affiliated with KAB and Keep Florida Beautiful (KFB).  EIN 59-3092755

KNB's operations are supported by grants, contracts, private donations by corporations and individual citizens, fundraising events and in-kind donations.

KNB is governed by its Board of Directors which consists of up to 25 members elected for a two-year term of office. All KNB policies and programs are the responsibility of the Board of Directors.

The business management and day-to-day administration of KNB is the responsibility of the Executive Director, who must operate within the framework of the established budget, adopted programs, and policies developed by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director reports to the Chairman. The Executive Committee is responsible for evaluating and directing the Executive Director.

KNB works through its Executive Director and committees. The various committee chairpersons propose programs to the Board of Directors and implement the programs approved by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is a member of all committees.

Our Sponsors
