Community Service
Keep Nassau Beautiful helps individuals who seek community service for a variety of reasons including citizenship requirements, a substitution of criminal justice sanctions, requirements of a school or class, a desire to keep areas clean and litter-free, and requisites for the receipt of certain benefits.
Often citizens or groups may perform community service projects without direct supervision by a KNB representative. Our program requires each volunteer to sign a Waiver of Liability, and the ability to verify paths walked and litter collected. Participants may be approved to text photos at the start, and again at the finish, of the day's service. The text messages and photos often meet the documentation requirements for a KNB representative to sign off on the hours worked.
Contact us (904) 261-0165 for more information on requirements.
You may also earn community service hours by participating in a planned volunteer opportunity. Visit News and Events to learn more.
