Adopt Partners
Every year thousands of residents and visitors enjoy traveling Nassau County roadways, beaches and waterways, and utilizing our many other public places. First impressions can be lasting. Litter-strewn areas are far less attractive and welcoming than clean, healthy, and naturally beautiful spaces.
Litter is costly to clean up, impacts our quality of life and economic development, and eventually ends up in our waterways and oceans. Keep Nassau Beautiful champions the support of individuals, businesses, civic groups, youth groups, and organizations in controlling litter in Nassau County, Florida.

KNB will provide you a start up kit of trash-grabbers, safety vests, reusable bags, and two of our popular "Clean up Crew" yard signs.
It’s a two-year commitment that makes a lasting difference in your community. Join us—one mile at a time!
Adopt A Spot
Whether it's a park, trail, beach access, or shared community space, the Adopt A Spot program lets you take ownership of keeping it clean and beautiful. Groups agree to clean their adopted spot at least nine times a year, helping to protect our local environment and enhance public spaces.
To get started, complete the Adopt Program Agreement, assign a site coordinator, and follow safety guidelines.
Adopt A Highway
Volunteers in the Adopt A Highway program commit to a two-year agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), pledging to remove litter along their designated highway section on a regular schedule. Across the state, miles of highway are cared for by dedicated organizations and community groups, giving civic-minded individuals a chance to directly improve their surroundings. These volunteer efforts not only beautify Florida’s roadways but also support FDOT by allowing work crews to focus on critical maintenance and special projects.
