Electronics should not be disposed of in trash collection. Batteries should be removed and disposed of separately. Electronic waste and batteries may be disposed of during a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. Approved items can be disposed of at the Callahan Convenience Recycling Center located at 46026 Landfill Rd Callahan FL 32011. Approved items are FREE of charge to Nassau County Residents. No Rental Property or Foreclosure Clean-Outs.
Items in good condition can often be donated to Barnabas, Micah’s Place Purple Dove, Goodwill, or other thrift stores in your local area. Some offer pick up services. Call to confirm services – electronics may not be accepted.
Fernandina Beach City Residents: Any trash that is larger than 3 cubic yards (the equivalent of about three large boxes) call Advanced Disposal for an extra pickup or clarification on what is permitted.
Town of Callahan Residents: Call to confirm services – electronic waste may not be accepted.
