Pet waste and litter should always be placed in the trash bin, not the recycling bin.
If disposing of these materials in a bag, please remove as much air as possible before placing it in the bin. Trapped air can become dangerous when compressed by sanitation equipment, inflated bags may burst and propel contents outward, posing a risk to collection workers and nearby pedestrians.
