Instructions

Bulky Items

Don’t be a wish-cycler. Items that are not approved for recycling should be placed in the garbage bin. Partially or full containers should be empty before placing in the garbage bin. Hazardous waste should be disposed of during a Household Hazardous Waste Collection event. www.keepnassaubeautiful.org for event information.

Empty plastic bottles labeled with recycling symbols #1 or #2 can be placed in the plastics bin. Be sure to rinse them out first and remove any non-recyclable parts like pumps or sprayers. Approved items can be disposed of at the Callahan Convenience Recycling Center free of charge.

Nassau County residents should contact their waste service provider (Meridian Waste or Waste Management) to confirm what items are accepted and whether special pickup is needed. Fernandina Beach residents should arrange pickup for any trash over 3 cubic yards.
