Do not dispose of firearms or ammunition in a private or public trash bin. When that ammunition gets dumped into the back of the garbage truck and the compactor runs, it could cause the ammunition to fire. Do not bury and do not soak in water or oil to dispose of ammunition.
Call your local police station using the local telephone number to dispose of ammunition properly.
Ammunition is not accepted during local Nassau County, Florida, Household Hazardous Waste Collection events.
