Wild Amelia’s March Wild Nite presentation welcomes Jane Winkler, Tribal Liaison, Cherokee of Georgia, discussing Connection to the Land. Join us at the historic Peck Center on Tuesday, March 14, at 7 pm.

Jane Winkler is an enrolled member of the Beaver Creek Indians of SC. After transfer to Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, she and her husband Tim have volunteered with the Cherokee of Georgia in St. George, GA for over a decade. Mrs. Winkler currently serves as Tribal Liaison, providing interactive presentations for schools, libraries, military bases, and other organizations. She is also active with Tribal Event promotions, such as Cherokee of Georgia’s semi-annual Pow Wows held in April and October.

Annually Cherokee of Georgia hosts Inter-Tribal PowWows on their Tribal Grounds annually in April and October. These are educational, family-oriented, and open to the public with FREE Admission, Parking, and Tent Camping (primitive). Guided Tours of the Grounds are provided to school groups and other organizations on Thursday & Friday of PowWow. The Tribe also provides educational presentations throughout the year for schools, libraries, and other organizations.
