Volunteer to Cleanup Wade’s Place (Under the Shave Bridge)

We need you to volunteer along with Keep Nassau Beautiful, Eight Flags Jeep Club, and Lowe’s Home Improvement to remove litter and debris from Wade’s Place.   This is a sensitive area with marsh and waterway access, litter and debris from traffic on Wade’s Place and from the Shave Bridge.

Supplies will be provided including reusable and disposable gloves, safety vests, reusable totes and buckets for debris collection, grabbers for litter and debris pick up, and trash bags to consolidate and dispose of waste.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes, bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray.  Bring your own mask.  We will practice social distancing and site captains will wear masks to consolidate trash.
