Volunteer – International Coastal Cleanup and Volunteer Appreciation
Join us for the 2023 International Coastal Cleanup and Volunteer Appreciation Event. We need you to help collect and document trash between 9 am – 11 am at multiple locations on Amelia Island. Site Captains include Amelia Beach Ambassadors – Main Beach, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Memorial United Methodist Church, and First Presbyterian Church – Peter’s Point, Keep Nassau Beautiful (Tony and Linda Vellucci) – Dee Dee Bartels, Volunteers for Nassau and Interact – Amelia Welcome Center, Eight Flags Jeep Club – Shave Bridge/Wade’s Place.
To join us, register for the event and reserve your FREE volunteer t-shirt (while they last).
Site Captains will be available at each location to provide disposable gloves, trash grabbers, and reusable litter collection bags. Volunteers should wear shoes appropriate for a cleanup, and bring sunscreen and water if desired.
A Volunteer Appreciation event sponsored by VPizza after the cleanup, 11:30 am – 1 pm. Pick up your t-shirt, a free beverage, and lunch. Awards, drawings, and a 50-50 raffle will be presented at 12:15 pm MUST participate in the litter cleanup to attend.
