Planting Nassau's Future
The primary mission of Planting Nassau's Future is to beautify spaces in Nassau County, Florida. As the eastern gateway to the sunshine state, we want to preserve our beaches, green pastures, timberlands, and all the beautiful areas in-between. Weather events, age, and increasing development can impact these environments so we must start somewhere in order to make an impact for today and the future.

Four Easy Options to Get Involved
1. TreesDays
In spring and fall each year, Nassau County residents are invited to reserve free trees through our on-line reservation system. The announcement to reserve trees comes to members and newsletter recipients about 6 weeks before the events are held, usually in March and October.
Many thanks to our program partners including Amelia's Native Wildflowers, Flowing Well Tree Farm, City of Fernandina Beach, Nassau County BOCC, NE FL Fairgrounds, Rayonier, RYAM, UF|IFAS Extension Nassau County Master Gardeners, generous donors, and community volunteers who make these events possible. Since the introduction of Planting Nassau's Future in 2020, more than 5,900 free trees have been distributed to Nassau County, FL residents.
