Corrugated cardboard is accepted for recycling across Nassau County, but certain guidelines must be followed to ensure proper collection.
WestRock accepts clean and dry corrugated cardboard boxes in a bin located at their office building, 1200 Franklin Street in Fernandina Beach.
Cardboard must be flattened and cut or folded into pieces no larger than 2 feet by 3 feet before being placed in the recycling bin. Waste collection providers, including Meridian Waste and Waste Management, accept corrugated cardboard when it is properly prepared and placed inside the recycle bin.
Proper preparation helps ensure materials are successfully recycled and not rejected during collection.
