Plastic Bags Don’t Belong in Your Curbside Recycling Bin!
Plastic shopping bags and plastic film can’t be recycled in your regular recycling bin—they jam equipment at recycling facilities. Instead, take them to designated drop-off bins located at the front of many grocery stores, including Target, Winn-Dixie, and others.
To recycle properly:
- Use store drop-off bins marked for plastic bag/film recycling
- Make sure items are empty, clean, and dry
- Place all accepted bags and plastic film inside one bag, then drop it off
⚠️ Never bag recyclables in plastic bags for curbside pickup.
When in doubt, throw it out—or check your local recycling guidelines. Let’s keep plastic out of the wrong places and give it a better chance at being recycled responsibly!
