Adopt A Tree – Free Tree Event

Residents of Nassau County, FL are invited to receive two of our 3-gallon trees, while supplies last, during the Adopt A Tree event, Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025.

Reserve trees in three easy steps:

1. View the Educational Video hosted by Dr. Taylor Clem, UF IFAS Extension, Nassau County, on proper tree planting and maintenance to help ensure your tree gets the best start for a long and healthy life.
2. View the educational Tree Fact Sheets with explanations of all the tree species being offered (while supplies last). Select the right tree or woody species for your planting location. The species vary with each event and supply of each species is limited.
3. When you view these resources, make a note of the special validation code that you will enter on the Free Tree Reservation Form. The code is required to use the reservation form.

A few days after submitting the Reservation Form, including the required validation code, you will receive a confirmation email.  Be sure to mark your calendar to pick up your free trees at your selected time and location. Events are rain or shine.

Species include Bald Cypress, Black Tupelo, Common Persimmon, Firebush, Red Maple, Simpson’s Stopper, Southern Red Cedar, Sycamore, Tulip Poplar.  Available for reservation while supply lasts.

Many thanks to our program partners including Amelia’s Native Wildflowers, Nassau County BOCC, Rayonier, RYAM, UF/IFAS Extension Nassau County, generous donors, and community volunteers who make these events possible.  Since the introduction of Planting Nassau’s Future in 2020, more than 4,900 free trees have been distributed to Nassau County, FL residents.
