Fall 2024 – Free Tree Event

The Fall 2024 Adopt-A-Tree Free Tree event is now open.  During scheduled events, Nassau County, FL residents are invited to receive two of our 3-gallon or 7-gallon size trees by species, while supplies last, at one of our free tree events.

Trees must be pre-reserved, and will be available for pick up on Nov. 9 at your selected time and location: Hagan Ace Hardware in Yulee and NE FL Fairgrounds in Callahan.

Reserving trees takes three easy steps:

1. View the Educational Video on proper tree planting and maintenance to help ensure your tree gets the best start for a long and healthy life.
2. View the educational Tree Fact Sheets with explanations of all the tree species being offered (while supplies last).  Select the right tree or woody species for your planting location. The species vary with each event.
3. When you view these resources, make a note of the special validation code that you will enter on the Free Tree Reservation Form.

A few days after submitting the Reservation Form, including the required validation code, you will receive a confirmation email.  Be sure to mark your calendar to pick up your free trees at your selected location. Events are rain or shine.  Reservations may be canceled for “no-shows”.

NOTE: An important rule for the 2024 fall giveaway: the maximum number of plants is restricted to 2 each per Nassau County, Florida residential address.
